Just received an email about Osceola laying off county workers including fire. It may also result in fire house closures. Word is they are $15million in the hole. Story will be on Channel 9 news tonight!

like one of the county workers said..the officials should of taken a pay cut...
i read they really slashed animal control to bare bones and they are closed until monday...
road and bridge got hit pretty bad too...just what they need...
I surely hope they do not pull from fire/police...

There's word one fire house may be on the chopping block up in St. Cloud. I think they said it was Station 53 (Somewhere in the 50's)

But these county commissioners are still sitting on their fat butts making $70,000.00 a year for a part time job..We should all have jobs like that..And they're complaining because they make less than some of the other counties...GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!

The one the news interviewed yesterday made $200K a year, and when asked if he's take a cut, he replied, I think I'm worth my salary!!

Yeah,I saw that..That was the county manager..Pretty good when a guy like him can make almost as much as the president..
Boys,& Girls,whats wrong with this picture? He's managing a rinky dink city,not the U.S.A.
Only 2 county commissioners said they'd be willing to take a 10 % pay cut...
Plus,I thought this over paid clown had a snotty attitude..Makes me kinda glad I live in Polk County..

this is getting as bad as detroit. a city council woman up there was being investigated for stuff and she came on tv and asked people to pray for her! AND SHE WAS GUILTY of all the stuff they accused her of! it just blows the mind!

Karma at work..The Osceola County manager,who last year wouldn't take a pay cut,because he said he was worth the money,while laying off county workers,is now the one with no job.
Of course a $300,000.00 severance package isn't too hard to take.
Wonder if he'll apply for food stamps?
