Out of the Darkness/AFSP Community Walks
http://www.outofthedarkness.org
You can go to this site and see all the location. The 2/6/10 walk is the Orlando Walk...my team is Our Boys.
If you wish, you can sign up to walk, or make a donation. All donations collected by individual walkers are credited to both the walker, and the walkers team. If you prefer to make an offline donation, you can email me and I can send you a form in the mail. All donations are tax deductible.

Haven't forgotten I owe you a check. Will drop it in the mail on Friday.
Anyone wanting to donate to this awesome cause can do it personally by sending littlebirdlegs your check or money order. If you PM her she will give you an address, she will walk and be glad to make the donation on your behalf.
Remembering Damien and Chip. Damien lived in Poinciana and should not be forgotten just because he is out of sight. |

Just wanted to remind everyone that the Out of the Darkness Walk is this Saturday. The opening ceremony is at 9:00 with the walk beginning at 9:30. There will be a very moving closing ceremony with the release of dozens of white doves.....as the doves are released I will speak the names of the unforgotten aloud.
I cannot thank my friends Dolphin and Lilsis enough for their love and support. I love you both. _________________ Support Suicide Prevention & Awareness

I would like to thank everyone again for their love and support. This year the walk raised $32093.08. There were 619 participants in the walk!
Thankfully it didn't rain, and it was cool enough to make the walk invigorating.
There was a beautiful We Remember Them wall where people posted pictures, poems, and red and pink hearts for the unforgotten. A really moving experience to look at all those pictures and names.
The closing ceremony was beautiful and poignant....a beautiful song sung by Matt Shenk, that he had written for his mom, and the release of white doves. There were many tears shed at the closing ceremony, and lots of hugs.
Each year we get a larger turn out, and so the word is getting out that suicide can be prevented, that are people and places to turn to for help.
Thank you again, and God Bless You. _________________ Support Suicide Prevention & Awareness

I love you both too, and appreciate you more than you know.
Yes, Dolphin, we do share a very special bond. I can never repay you for being where you were March 10th, 2003, or thank you enough.
Lilsis, I spoke the names of our special unforgotten ones at the beginning of the walk and at the closing ceremony. They will live forever in our hearts, and will always be remembered with love not for how they died, but for how they lived.
